'The Right to be Forgotten' Is a series of Paintings I am currently working on, seeking to express the common urge of Isolation and lonesomeness. As selfish as this may sound, I am a keen believer that this sentiment is highly contagious whereas I am still not convinced whether a hermetic lifestyle is the right cure. In my work I am trying to create a narrative spanning dreams, discussions and the losses people with this mental condition have to face. Whereas the Title I have chosen also hints at current laws that the European Union is implementing regarding a person's right of having at least their medical history like chronic illnesses omitted from public and especially industry data bases that might intervene with a human's right to have their past forgotten.
Most of the paintings themselves I feel that they should not exist, as if they don't want to be seen either, creating in my opinion a dispute between den painter and the painting.
